THE PREMISE every 300 years a small sampling of deities reincarnate into mortal bodies during an event called
the recurrence. what they do with their time on earth is up to them but they have 5 years before they'll die and the next cycle will begin. this community takes place during 2020's
recurrence, and more deities than ever before are about to wake up.

HUMANITY your character will be a regular human with parents, family, ambitions, etc to start! the recurrence can happen to any deity at any time, and the vessel they reincarnate in can be any gender, age, appearance, etc. once reawakened, a deity will retain all memories of that mortal life up until this point, and they will cease to age. so if a deity is reawakened in a 32 year old body, that body will stay 32 until they die 5 years later.
LOCATION your character can be from
anywhere in the world, but the draw to london as the center of the next
recurrence is too strong to ignore.
CHOOSING A DEITY eventually your character will be reincarnated into a deity of your choosing! most all deities are available to choose from, with a few exceptions, and more information can be found on our
mythology page. vessels appear to be chosen long before birth within the cycle, and there is no telling when the deity will take over.
writing a small blurb about your deity and what they are traditionally the deity of to be included in your bio is a great way for other members to quickly recognize who is in play!
powers start to work on what kind of power your deity will unlock once their memories have returned. will they be able to spring forth life from the soil? will they possess the power to heal the wounded? will fire be at their fingertips or perhaps will they be able to control someone with just a suggestion? it's up to you, we just ask for a few sentences fully describing your deity's power within this mortal world.
links to their previous lives a mortal vessel might have some small similarities to the deity they will one day be, for example an affinity for plants, a macabre obsession with death, or a love for stormy weather. they might also have similar names (beginning with a similar letter), or other little connections to the deity they will one day become.
